Before joining the One Union family, Vickie studied to become a Buddhist nun, but found her calling in the Ad world. This California woman has been in advertising for 12 years and has worked both as a Copywriter and as a Post-Production Producer in San Francisco – she has two Super Bowl commercials under her belt. She keeps the everything flowing at One Union, but you can also find her climbing rocks, being under the sun, or creating things with her hands.
Joaby joined the One Union team in 1995, interning at the studio while studying at UC Berkeley. He’s remained with One Union ever since, continuing to tackle projects and look for creative ways to solve audio challenges in his day-to-day. Joaby isn’t afraid to have fun with his work, recalling when he recorded the three-year old girl who voiced Boo in an all-time favorite, Pixar’s Monsters Inc. “She was running around, trying to grab the microphone and screaming at the top of her lungs. The director and I were in our socks running around the booth with her. That was really fun.” Joaby’s credentials extend across the board, whether its recording, mixing radio and television commercials, or performing sound design. Some of his most recent work for clients such as Fisher Price, Energizer, and UCSF Medical.
After working as an assistant engineer at Crescendo Studios, Eben moved on to Goodby, Silverstein, & Partners to take on the building and then staffing of their very own audio facility. After six years of in-house audio engineering, Eben came to One Union in 2005 ready for change. “Being the only guy over at Goodby, I felt that I had done all that I could by myself,” he says. “So it’s really good for me to be around other engineers and we can learn from each other.” Although Eben worked on an impressive list of commercials while at GS&P, including spots for Saturn, Foster Farms, and a Super Bowl aired spot for Budweiser, he set forth to continue churning out noteworthy spots at One Union, with his work on an Evony commercial airing for yet another Super Bowl and winning a Mercury award for his work on an eBay radio spot. As of late, Eben has been a part of projects for Cheetos, LinkedIn Radio, and Chipotle.
After spending over ten years in Los Angeles, Andy relocated to his favorite city to further his audio career. Since his interview and acceptance of a position at One Union all in one day, the diversity of his job is something he values to this very day. “I’ve always been a tech head, I learn the gear from backwards to forwards. That’s my passion. With One Union’s constant gear upgrades I get to play with new gear all the time.” he says. “I love being able to work with cutting edge technology and share with our clients the highest quality audio that is available these days.” Wearing many hats, Andy not only has been hard at work with the new equipment and shifts to come in 2018, but is still highly committed to his engineering work. He especially looks forward to when he gets projects recording ADR and AVO for films and TV shows such as The Orient Express, Somebody’s Gotta Do It, Silicon Valley, and Deadliest Catch with Mike Rowe. Andy has been putting in awesome work for clients such as Honda, Chevron, and Bay Club as of late.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Sound Arts from Expression College, Isaac knew he wanted to start his career path at an Audio Post Production Studio. After graduating and interning at the studio, One Union was the first place he looked into for a job after realizing that there was so much to learn and grow from in this environment. Ranging from prepping material for projects, studio maintenance and client services, and navigating his domain of the Machine Room and controls, Isaac says, “Walking into One Union everyday knowing that I’m working with a fantastic group of engineers and assisting on amazing projects is definitely my dream come true.” In addition to his role in the studio, he continues to work on freelance projects doing sound design and mixing.
